Bureau CAY: A ‘cay’ is a small, low-elevation, sandy island on the surface of a coral reef, coincidentely it shares my initials (Cyrus Albertus Yar).

The image shows an untouched cay. The cay acts like a metaphor where Bureau CAY sets out a blank canvas where designers give their own interpretation of a certain archetype. The framework invites designers and let them define the archetype based on their own design language.

Just like the archetypes in the furniture world, these lines are also visible at a cay. The outer organic lines that define the border of the cay.
